REGIONAL AWARDS NOMINATIONS

The Northeast Region invites you to participate in the nomination process for the following awards

• Member of the Year

• Show of the Year

• Clerk of the Year

• Catalogue of the Year

• Junior Exhibitor of the Year

• Sportsmanship Award

• Humanitarian Award

This is a new and exciting opportunity for every member to make their suggestions for these awards, and then vote on the nominees in each of the categories to make their selections.

Guidelines;

For Member, Junior Exhibitor, Clerk, Good Sportsmanship and Humanitarian Awards – please submit the persons’ name, along with a few sentences explaining why you nominate this individual for this particular award. 

For Show of the Year please name the show and Club (specific dates if a Club has presented more than one show), and a few sentences on why you feel that this show deserves to be awarded the Show of the Year.  Things to consider are the qualities of the show – show hall, climate of the show hall, lighting, accessibility to hotels and airports/driving, timeliness of the show, hotel accommodations, show dinner/party, show theme, decorations, show staff (including judges), awards, atmosphere in the show hall, spectator attendance, etc………

For Catalog of the Year – (Clubs must submit a catalogue by mail to each member of the Nominating Committee to be considered.  Catalogues should be easy to read, have all necessary pages included and whatever you think makes for an outstanding catalogue.

• All categories will be limited to five nominations.

• Any individual nominated for Member; Junior Exhibitor; Good Sportsmanship; Humanitarian Awards must be members of TICA.  Clerk of the Year must be registered in the Clerking Program.

• A Nominating Committee will be selected from persons outside of the Region.  This will be a Committee of three.

• One person from the Nominating Committee will be Chair. An email address will be established by the Nominating Committee which only the members of this Committee will have the password.  A regular mailing address for the Chair will be published for those not who do not have email access.  All information for nominations will be shared by all members of the Nominating Committee

• All awards will be kept secret until the night of the Regional Banquet when the awards will be presented.  Only the Nominating Committee and the engraver will know of the winners.
